A Host or Hostess is the first point of contact for guests in a restaurant, playing a crucial role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They keep track of table rotations to ensure an even distribution of guests among servers, helping maintain efficient service. A Host or Hostess must also be able to handle busy rush hours, coordinating with the waitstaff to avoid delays and long waiting times.
